For those who are thinking of taking part in the diary project (and those who already are) – a blank notepad or empty blog can be a pretty daunting place to start. Over the next few months, keep an eye on the blog (or the GSOY twitter) for ideas and inspiration from other bloggers, vloggers, and diary-keepers. Today, it’s room tours, with examples for the do not enter diaries, tumblr and rookie magazine.
The Do Not Enter Diaries project was set up by friends Emily Cohn and Emma Orlow, two teens who interview and film other teens in their bedrooms. People take you on a tour around their rooms, talk about themselves, what they like. DNED began in America, but now people from around the world take part in the project. Here are a couple of examples, you can find more on their website: www.donotenterdiaries.com
Whilst DNED is a video project, you can just as easily take pictures instead. Visit the links below for photo-inspiration..
Rookie’s shrines: Rookie Magazine asked its readers to send in photos of their ‘shrines’. See them over here.
